Knowing the Basics

Let’s talk about the basics. When a match starts, you can get the chance to break or your opponent will. If you are breaking, the first pot you make will be the type of balls that you have to target for the rest of the game. For example, if you pot a striped one, you will have to pot all striped ones for the rest of the game. If your opponent gets to break, then the opposite of what they pot will be the type of balls you would have to pot.

Potting The Balls

Once you have started, you just have topot the balls that you have to pot. Make sure that when you make a shot, you know what ball to choose next. Always keep that ball in sight and keep an area open for it. If there is a chance that you can’t make the shot, just touch the ball in a way that you block your opponent’s shot. Make sure that the ball touches the boundary, or it will be a foul.

Potting The Black and The Cue Ball

The two most important billard games Balls are the cue ball and the black ball. You have to wait till you have potted all other balls to go for the cue ball. Once you pot the cue ball, you win the game. But if you don’t, your opponent will get the chance.

The cue ball should never be potted in any hole, that would be a foul. Also if you pot a black and somehow the cue ball follows it into the hole, you will lose the entire game. So, be careful and think ahead.
