Yes, be excited. Be that way. I command you! For those of you who need further cajoling, you’ve got to understand that all Samsung Galaxies and Galaxy Edges past have been awesome, better and cheaper, for me, more than any iAnything you could throw my way. There are a lot of classic Galaxy features at play here: customization, long battery life, great display, with some new ones on the horizon. The thing I’m most excited about is wireless charging, something that will make all the USB cables I have lying around the house suddenly, happily obsolete. I’ve even got a USB charger built right into the wall. Guess I’ll have to replace that outlet….
Anyway. The new Samsung S6 and S6 Edge are great. Having gotten my hands on an early prototype they send to tech folk sometimes, I enjoy the display as much as ever, more in fact. The design feels strong and durable, without being overly so or driving up costs in the meantime. The Galaxy plays well with other devices. But I still love its ability to be endlessly customized. I like a mobile that has a display that doesn’t look exactly like everyone else. When I used to be part of the iSheep, I felt like part of a movement…one I didn’t necessarily want to be a part of. For me, the customizable options give me a sense of individuality. This is my S6. There are many like it, but this one is mine. But mine’s menu functions are different and fancy! That really does it for me.
In the more tangible specs, the new S6 and S6 Edge deliver, as always. You’ll be able to do anything you want, at great speed, and supported by an ever-expanding app base and compatible product line. Expect the S6 to gain a lot of new followers upon its launch and please the ones its already earned.
