With contactless finally bedding in as the main way to pay for the majority of people with Chip & Pin being virtually non-existent these days, there may be a new payment method on the horizon being brought out by Amazon in the not to distance future – Amazon One.
It has taken years for consumers to get used to the idea of paying for things remotely as contactless payments were first brought out in 2007 but with many reluctant to use the software due to fraud worries but the software only seem to take off in 2014 and since then we haven’t looked back, in fact we’ve only upped the maximum spend on contactless payments.

But with the way that technology is at the moment, there is always a predecessor for old technology and Amazon want to be the first to release this – paying for groceries with just the palm of your hand.

Instead of now having to use a debit card or smartphone to pay for your goods, Amazon want to move in the direction of using your hands to be able to pay, and specifically your palms. The technology that Amazon are hoping to roll out globally will use people’s palms to be able to distinguish themselves as well as combine details from their palms such as lines and ridges to be able to build a “palm signature”
Due to these types of advances in technology, many other industries have also been able to benefit from these, especially those of the online casino world such as at thebestcasinos.co.uk. Now that these types of casinos have the ability to offer their punters the use of an app to be able to gamble on, they have found more and more users every day gambling on the go, commuting to work and even in the workplace through the use of their apps.
Dilip Kumar, the vice president of Amazon Physcial Retail has come out and explained his plans for the Amazon One, “We believe Amazon One has broad applicability beyond our retail stores, so we also plan to offer the service to third parties like retailers, stadiums, and office buildings so that more people can benefit from this ease and convenience in more places,” Kumar added. “Interested third parties can reach out through the email address provided on our Amazon One website.”
